A few months ago, I wrote the first blog post for our new website. I said that “Downtown Storage might be Laramie’s most affordable storage option.”

I’m still not sure what the answer is. There are some pretty nice new units around town, with automatic locking gates and security cameras. These are pretty nice features, but they also add to the cost. If low price is what you are looking for, check us out.

As for security, we have never had a problem with lost or stolen items in all the years we have been doing this. You provide your own lock for the unit, and it is pretty secure.

If you are storing a vintage Martin guitar, you might be interested in a different solution, one where they heat the place 24/7.

Storage Units and Life Choices

Storage units are kind of boring, and usually not worth a blog post. But in the years I have been managing the storage units, I have seen all kinds of people. I find that someone needs a storage unit when they are going through changes in life.

Someone found a new job. They’re getting married. Or they graduated from college. They might have lost their job and they are moving away from Laramie for a while.

Life can be exhilarating, confounding, hopeful, and despairing, all in the same day. Having to store your stuff means you are moving on to new things.
